Oil Exploitation

Oil exploitation, both in terms of production as refining, producing significant quantities of oily residues that are similar to the type of sludge “mayonnaise”, called sludge. This sludge is very stable inverse emulsions of water in crude oil containing solid sediment. The proportion of each of the three phases (water, oil, solid) varies from each other; however, the aqueous phase is often a majority, representing 40 to 80% of the mixture. Main processing methods used till date are, incineration or centrifugation, in fact, do not allow performing a complete separation of the liquid phases (water and oil) and solid in the presence. Besides, these methods are not optimal, both from an economic point of view and especially environmental friendliness than an energy point of view.

Processing technique petroleum sludge proposed in our process relies on the principles of the decrease of viscosity after destroying the mayonnaise by a vibration system for the product to be treated. The method is to use the force generated by the vibration to break the carbon chains, water coach, simultaneously causing a destabilization of the emulsion. The increase in temperature decreases the viscosity and facilitates the creation of different phases in unequal concentrations. A system by simple condensation of the vapours can recover water and light product. Thus, it is possible by this system to recycle the products., After a settling phase, the result being acquired is, dehydrated oil which can be recovered in the distillation of refinery units, isolated sediment and water after condensation or by decantation. This method shows the advantage of this new process, which has the advantages of a complete separation of the phases and to generate, therefore, no by-products. Also, this transaction is perfectly in the processing logic of an oil refinery site.

It is important to emphasize that TECHNOJET was developed to fight against pollution and has resulted in the recovery of 100% of the hydrocarbons contained in the sludge.
A major advantage of this technique is the insulation of hydrocarbon, resulting in the removal of all pollution.

Unlike currently existing technologies we get at the end of the decontamination process concentrates and three separate products. On one side we have the crude oil with absolutely no water and sediment with meagre rates (maximum 0.5%), making it an easily reusable product by the oil industry. On the other hand, we have two products, water and sediment that are not at all hydrocarbon contaminated that become non-polluting neutral products. Unlike other existing methods such as centrifugation, TECHNOJET allows not to create a system of pollution concentration of a residue.
Indeed, no residue to the output of the process is contaminated with oil allowing us to fight totally against pollution.
Sediments such as sand are decontaminated and cleaned on the water is partially evaporated and condensed to desalinate the oil recovered from this sludge. Thus it provides an effective way to reduce PTB.
